Not exact dates, if you do not have them. 'Second half of November' is more useful than a wrong date, because it lets us tell you which week has the better weather odds.

It is three and a half hours from there and it lets us put the water on at roughly the right time.
Do not trust the mapping app
It stops eight hundred metres short at a bend with no house on it. Use the written landmarks we send.
Arrive in daylight
Between November and February that means before half past five. The last eleven kilometres are unlit and unfenced.
Signal drops for the last four kilometres
If you need to call us, do it from Puran's tea stall, which has blue shutters and is impossible to miss.
Park on the flat shoulder
Thirty metres past the white gate. Somebody will hear the car and come out.
Carry your ID
Indian law requires us to record it. We write the number in a paper register and do not photocopy it.
Somebody will come out when they hear the car
That is the whole arrival procedure. There is no desk, no form beyond what the law requires, and tea within about four minutes.
